Is my display damaged ?

Hi,

I have installed a screen protector today, and removed it after 5minutes (didnt like it) .

Then there were some finger smudges on screen, so i took a small microfibre cloth and tried to clean it.

smudge not going.

Also there seems to be reflection on the screen, does that mean i have damaged the Anti glare coating or something ?

Also I tried to put very little amount of water in the cloth and tried wiping, still the smudge is there.

what should i do ?

I wiped my m1 macbook pro display with a damp microfibre cloth and wiped with dry microfibre but my screen when shined with a flashlight it has quite like grey smudge not the pure black anymore that it came out of the box, should I be worried? Got this new m1 macbook pro a week ago and now I saw like a few smudges in my screen and I planned to get rid of the smudge by doing what apple says in their website, but I end up spreading the smudge but after a 5 minutes of just soft wiping it, it is almost clear again, also while I was wiping it, it got like a few lines I don't know if they are scratches but I was able to just wipe the 'scratches' off. So just to have a peace of mind, did I damage my display or like the coating of the display? Im sorry if I am asking a dumb question but I am very paranoid about my new Macbook since I am planning to use this laptop for a long time and because after I "broke" my Imac, I was heavily criticized for it that's why I'm very scared to damage this laptop.

Spudger mark after screen replacement from apple I have a 14 pm deep purple for which I got my screen replaced under warranty due to a green dead pixel. I got my phone back with new screen but I can see some spudger marks in between the frame and the screen. Is it normal for the stainless steel frame to get scratched while screen removal? I have attached the image below. It doesn't appear to be a big scratch though. But sometimes it feels like repaired device. Please let me know if this is normal?

screen coating removed Hello, I have had a the same screen protector on my laptop for about 6/7 years. Today i removed it and it seems to have taken some of the coating off the screen. I am not sure what this is, but you can see it quite clearly and the affected areas feel rougher than normal. Is there anyway I can fix this without replacing the screen? And if i put another screen protector on it, will it get worse? Thank you, Danielle
