Factory reset MacBook Air (early 2015) with macOS High Sierra

I followed these steps to factory reset my MacBook Air (early 2015) that was on macOS High Sierra: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac - Apple Support

I then went to trade it in and Apple sent another link that requested turning off Find My on the Mac: Remove a device from Find My iPhone on iCloud.com - Apple Support

If I followed all the steps in the first article, does that take care of the second one?

Thanks in advance for the help!

Yes. Step 5 signed out of iCloud. Your Mac may still appear as a device in Find My, but you won't be able to do anything with it, so you might as well remove it.
