Some email will not delete

I have resolved my issues with receiving mail from Yahoo via Apple Mail through my MacBook Pro. That said, there are some emails that I can't delete. Any suggestions?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 12.2

Hi there h.feder,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities!

Get started with the steps below to delete emails in Mail on your MacBook Pro:

Delete an email
1. In the Mail app  on your Mac, select a message.
2. Click the Delete button  in the Mail toolbar or move the pointer over the message’s header, then click the Delete button that appears.
Tip: To prevent the next message in the list from being automatically selected (and marked as read), press and hold the Option key when you delete the message.
If you set the “Move discarded messages” option to Trash in Viewing preferences in Mail, you can delete a message by swiping left on the trackpad with two fingers or by moving the pointer over a Mail notification, then clicking Delete (or the Trash icon).

This can be found in Delete emails in Mail on Mac.

If they don't delete as expected, try starting your Mac in safe mode, which may help get them deleting as expected. Safe mode has the following benefits:

Safe mode prevents your Mac from loading certain software as it starts up, including login items, system extensions not required by macOS, and fonts not installed by macOS. It also does a basic check of your startup disk, similar to using First Aid in Disk Utility. And it deletes some system caches, including font caches and the kernel cache, which are automatically created again as needed.
Safe mode is particularly useful when you're trying to resolve an issue that doesn't seem to be associated with using any particular app. As always, keeping your software up to date is the first step toward resolving any software issue.

Should the emails still not delete in safe mode, please provide details about what happens when you try to, such as any errors or alerts you receive.

We hope this helps.
