Screen / Glass peeling of the a 3 days old Macbook Pro M1 13"

Hello everyone,

I bought a brand new Macbook Pro M1 13" three days back. I didn't notice the issue at the time of buying but after using it for a while I started seeing some small particles somewhat like bubbles on the screen and later day I saw a glass-like thing peeling off both right and left edges.

I first thought that it was dust particles but upon a closer look I encountered that those were not particles but it was screen or glass peeling off the top edges. I instantly called Apple support and that guy I must say was very nice he instantly told me that your product is under warranty and this could be fixed.

I took it to FutureTech Pakistan (Apple's Authorized Service & Repair Centre), They without even looking at it said " It's damaged ". I just asked them one thing If It happens to be damaged then there could be a single dent, or even forget about the dent just show me a single scratch!

I have been surfing the internet and it seems like a pretty normal issue but I am not sure what caused it because when it looks damaged but upon a closer look you could really see this isn't. I am trying to get in touch with Apple to get it resolved

I am attaching some pictures that you guys could see and tell me what is it. Btw, I am using Macs for the past 12 years and never had this sort of issue.

These are just to show you guys that my device got no scratch or anything!

Please let me know guys, what really is this issue?

Thanks for the reply mate.

I spoke with Apple for hours, They said it's not covered in Limited Warranty, and asked me to take it to FutureTech (Apple's Repair Centre) in Karachi, Pakistan. And without even looking at it they said, it's damaged and it's not covered. I asked them to show me anything that was damaged or a single scratch but they kept saying the same thing.

Very unprofessional of Apple and FutureTech.pk - After spending approx $1500 I now have to pay $600 more for the LCD Panel.

More than likely, the damaged appeared to be user induced to the Apple techs; always a hard thing to disprove.

Apple is no different from any other profit oriented business; they have their policies, procedures and they are after all not a philanthropic entity. I feel your pain, and I'd wager all of us have faced similar over the years .. or will at some point in the future.
