I have an older Mac with OS High Sierra 10.13.6 To upgrade it says that I have "an incompatible update - iMovie 10.3.1 on Nov. 15, 2021. Do use iMovie. Is there any way to get around this to do an upgrade?
I am trying to install a new HP printer that needs a newer upgrade.

iMovie 10.3.1 can only run on a Mac with macOS 11.5.1 Big Sur or newer. Your Mac seems to be maxed out on High Sierra. How to get old versions of macOS - Apple Support
Is there a problem with the iMovie version you are having currently installed, or why do you want to update iMovie?

What model of Mac (iMac, Mac Mini, MacBook Air, etc) and what model year is it? Both of those are available at Apple menu > About This Mac.
