Activity App

I use the Activity app on both my apple watch and iphone. My activity is being recorded on my watch, but I can't access any information on my phone! I am interested in purchasing Fitness+ and need to select Fitness+ on the app, but there is no icon to choose from. The only icon on the screen is the multicolored circle.
