After macos update my external dell u3219q is not recognised

Just upgraded macos to most recent on macbook pro 14 and my external dell u3219q monitor is no longer coming up. Can not see it in system preferences monitors section. Holding opt key does not give option to identify monitors. Its charging the mac via usb c but does not get video signal. Have tried reboots. Turning off and on. Reconnecting to different ports. Switching power on and of. No idea what to do next.
