After updating the Apple Watch 7 to WhatchOS 8.5 it stopped fast charging with Belkin BoostCharge PRO. It used to charge very fast and now is very very very slow (about 5% in one hour). Any idea of how to solve this issue?

I can also confirm, the boost pro stopped charging my Series 7 altogether after updating to watchOS 8.5. It’ll charge normally on Apple chargers, but the Belkin fast charger recently released no longer works. Considering the absolute desolate landscape that third party fast charging for Series 7 is currently, how quickly Apple releases a fix for this is critical for Belkin and others to keep customer trust.
Belkin stated this is a known issue and can only be remedied with an Apple update. As others have stated the issue started after the 8.5 update. I find it unconscionable that Apple hasn’t acknowledged the issue or stated when they will issue an update that corrects it. Bear in mind, they are still selling the 3 in 1 in stores and online…
The question is it only started happening after the watchOS update. It looks like a problem with the update and not with the charger…
Someone suggested today that turning off ‘Optimize Battery Charging’ might be a temporary fix for this! Worked for him! I’m going to try it tomorrow when I need to charge.
Yes, apple released an update that broke Belkin’s charger. Belkin didn’t break it, Apple did. Own your responsibility.

AW 7 and slow charging after 8.5!
Tested by placing watch on charger, then after a pause removing it, then putting back on and it charged 35% in 30min
But have you contacted Belkin and talked with them?

Same problem here. Apple, this isn’t Belkin’s fault, so don’t misplace the blame. It happened after your update and you sell this charger as the only premium option in your store. Fix it.
