Calendars and two factor authentication

Hello,

I felt my iphone 13 Pro Max had been hacked -- my shared calendars were disappearing so I reset my iphone. As I attempted to bring my shared calendars back into the calendar program, I was prevented from attaching because of the two factor authentication. I can attach them through iCloud, but I would prefer they be attached to the calendar app on my iPhone. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong or what I can do to make this happen. Thank you.

I am sorry, I figured it out. As I thought about it, I checked and found I had turned off Contacts in iCloud on my iPhone. Once I turned the Contacts on, the shared calendars were updated and connected. I probably didn't even need to reset my iPhone in the first place. I am truly sorry.

I had gone to iCloud.com and click on the notices to accept the invitations to shared calendars and had tried on my phone and just received the message of the 2 factor authentication and to try it through iClould.com. Had gone into iCloud on my iphone and all choices were off. After taking a walk to clear my mind, I was thinking that I had all the choices on iCloud on my phone were off and thought I would just turn on the Calendar to see if it would make a difference and it did.

Hello GrumpyOldGuy27,

We'd like to know more about what you're experiencing with Calendars and two factor authentication. When you say that two factor authentication is preventing access, what exactly is happening? Are any error messages received? If so, what do those messages say?

Are you following the direction for adding shared calendars, as is outlined here: Share iCloud calendars on iPhone? If using multiple calendars, you might find the information provided in article, Set up multiple calendars on iPhone, helpful.

Best regards.
