Macbook Pro restarting when new Wacom Tablet is plugged in!
Hi,
I see in the communities that this has been occurring with another user from back in 2015 or so.
I just bought a new Wacom Intuos bluetooth tablet and loaded the new drivers for it. Now when I start up my laptop with the tablet plugged in, the computer gets to the main desktop page after opening - then the wifi just searches and can't connect and the bluetooth remains off. Within about 30 seconds or so, the system freezes and restarts.
After calling AppleCare, they suggested a restore of the Mac OS. I'm currently on Monterrey 12.3
After doing a restore of the OS, I'm still in the same position - nothing changed.
I have tried it in all the usb-c ports on my laptop to see if it was a port issue and the same issue occurs.
( I'm using a usb-c to usb adapter as the tablet has a usb connection for charging.)
When I use that same usb-c to usb adapter with my apple wired keyboard there is no issue which leads me to believe it's the Wacom supplied usb to micro usb cable. The tablet is bluetooth and works fine when not connected physically during computer start up.
If anyone else has been having this issue I'd love to know if they've had it resolved, or if it's a current known issue that is occurring.
