Hello Malik2121,

To clarify, both AirDrop and Import are two separate features. When importing, make sure you're using these steps: Transfer photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or PC

"Import to your Mac

  1. Connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac with a USB cable.
  2. Open the Photos app on your computer.
  3. The Photos app shows an Import screen with all the photos and videos that are on your connected device. If the Import screen doesn't automatically appear, click the device's name in the Photos sidebar.
  4. If asked, unlock your iOS or iPadOS device using your passcode. If you see a prompt on your iOS or iPadOS device asking you to Trust This Computer, tap Trust to continue.
  5. Choose where you want to import your photos. Next to "Import to," you can choose an existing album or create a new one.
  6. Select the photos you want to import and click Import Selected, or click Import All New Photos.
  7. Wait for the process to finish, then disconnect your device from your Mac."

For import, if you've only selected 10 photos to import, and only the 10 ported over, then the import is working as expected. Also, noted in the article is Import All New Photos, if you used this option, perhaps the other 90 are already imported.

"By default, imported photos and videos are copied into the Photos library. If you prefer, you can store photos and videos outside the Photos library—for example, in a folder on your Mac or on an external hard drive—and still view them in Photos. If you ever need to move content stored outside the library into your Photos library, you can do that, too. See Change where Photos stores your files."

If you're using AirDrop to transfer photos, review this article: Use AirDrop on your Mac

"Receive content with AirDrop

When someone nearby attempts to send you files using AirDrop, you see their request as a notification, or as a message in the AirDrop window. Click Accept to save the files to your Downloads folder."
