Watch charging cycle keeps resetting

My series 7 watch that was updated to WatchOS 8.5 has started to have it charge cycle reset. It does charge to 100% but before I take it off it’s charger the charge cycle resets. When this happens a chime is heard, the unlock screen appears and at that time the watch is not charging. A few seconds later another chime is heard and watch goes into charge mode.

Anyone else experiencing this?
