My OS Monterey problem was resolved, I formatted the drive then I reinstalled from my backup,  I basically have the same amount of volumes  but now I have more space. I consider the problem solved  thank you so much for your help.

If you were running macOS 10.15+, then you reinstalled macOS incorrectly or you restored from the TM backup incorrectly. Beginning with macOS 10.15+, the "Macintosh HD" volume is now multiple volumes which Apple attempts to hide from the user, but will become visible if the OS is incorrectly reinstalled or restored from a backup.

About the read-only system volume in macOS Catalina - Apple Support

In theory, while booted to the "restored"volume you should be able to delete the older APFS volumes that are no longer associated with the current macOS installation. Most likely you will need to delete the "Macintosh HD" volume which will likely leave you with "Macintosh HD - Data" and "Macintosh HD - Data - Data" volumes which are likely the current macOS system volume and writable user volume respectively. Or you can perform a clean install of macOS by first erasing the whole physical drive before installing macOS and restoring/migrating from a TM backup during the initial boot of the new OS install.

The Problem with my hard drive on my system Started when  I started to install a free CAD program that I got from the Internet and  I was unsuccessful in installing the program with it’s features so I decided to install another program that will install the features I needed, but a script started running. the original CAD program did not work,  so I decided  to remove the program and I wanted to redo my computer as a precaution from being hacked. I had a backup so I decided to redo my computer from the backup. That's when I restored my computer from a back up option. I had to create a new password and it started the installation. I had to save my data I I restarted my computer with my new name and new password, and my data was saved.

My computer works fine, but I noticed that my hard drive has less space and an extra petition on it and the data or amount of space is less now so I would like to put all the information just one petition. Maybe you could help me I hope.

Thank You
