How do I stop notifications from stopping my music in iTunes on my Air using Monterey?

Every time I get a notification, and not necessarily on my Air, but also on my iPhone or iPad, my iTunes on my Air stops playing. I've searched the community, but all I can find is how to stop this on a phone, whereas I am using my Air. This is so annoying; I'll be in another room and I have to stop what I'm doing because some dumb app sent me a notification. How do I stop iTunes from stopping every time I get a notification?

Thanks for reaching out, Jezmynne.

It sounds like the notifications on your MacBook Air are interrupting your music when they come in. We can help.

You can adjust the notifications you want to allow, and change how they come through by following these steps: Change Notifications preferences on Mac. This should allow you to hear your music uninterrupted.

Hope that helps.

Take care.

Hello! That was the first place I went, but I can't see in any of the options "stop interrupting iTunes" or similar. For example, Calendar lists: allow time sensitive alerts, show notifications on lock screen, show in Notifications Center, badge app icon, and play sound for notifications. Which of those stops iTunes cold? I do want notifications, I just don't want it to stop my music.
