Two-finger pinch zoom stops working

I and others have posted about this multiple times over the past few months. Two-finger pinch zoom stops working intermittently. Yes - I have it set properly in System Preferences, and this started after two or three upgrades ago. It fails across all apps and platforms were zoom used to be reliable. The feature stops working without warning, and works again after a few minutes. And, No, I do not want to have to restart my system every time as a work-around; this is a time-waster. I have just upgraded to Monterey 12.3, and the problem still persists. Does Apple even care?

Hi There, Leroy. I've already tried the system preferences options - starting, changing, resetting, etc. I've been dealing with this for more than a year now, but thank you for your reply. This is obviously a bug.
