Iphone 7 plus freeze and ghost touch randomly

Hi guys, i surfed the internet a lot already looking for answers and i found nothing that helped me.

My iphone 7 plus randomly freezes with all the buttons working but I can't touch anything as it stays frozen and touching random things it self until unlocking. I don't know if it is a software issue or hardware(why would lock unlock fix it if it is hardware?) so i tried cleaning the phone's screen, removing the screen protector, force restart it several times but nothing worked!!!!!!!!!!

I am on ios 15.3.1 and now i am considering to do a factory reset it's really annoying.

Please help me guys, thanks.

"Is this happening because of the battery issue?"

I don't know. But the battery having been replaced with an uncertain battery by an unknown technician, it's a distinct possibility. Or the new battery itself may be perfect, but the replacement damaged some other components.


You said that you were "considering to do a factory reset", but if no luck with that, contact Apple. There's a phone # for Apple in Pakistan here:
