Hello so my Voice Memos app takes a lot amount of storage. The problem here is that I don’t have any Voice Memos I deleted all of them even from the recently deleted folder. Even after I completely delete the Voice Memos app from my iPhone it still shows up like it takes 9 GB of storage in the settings.Can somebody help me?😫 Im on iOS 15.4

Same problem. How is this thread marked solved when it seems no one has had the storage cleared after deleting everything?? I’ve even deleted the app. It no longer shows on the home page but shows in the iPhone storage.
Yes we certainly do - the only suggestion I have been given is to backup my phone, wipe it and reinstall…..but just like you, the back up file is way larger than the phone holds, so that’s just not possible. So many folks out there have this issue. Also, we we went ahead and did that, what are the chances the problem will arise again because it was never fixed in the first place. Please fix this Apple!!!
Hi , the only thing that worked for me was to change the titles of the recordings, just letters , simple letters no special characters or anything else, that worked for me, after that the size went down and I was able to backup everything. Hope this helps , but for sure is a bug that needs to be fixed. Good day to all.
Hi @Ed_Orduña and @rth123t, I finally called tech support and they helped me to transfer manually my information to my computer and then I had to reset my phone. There is no solution for this voicememos bug.
Hey everyone! I just got off the phone with Apple Support and they solved it! He had me go to Settings->General->Transfer or Reset iPhone->Reset->Reset all settings. Your phone will restart and once you reopen and go to storage, it should clear the voice memos storage if it’s been deleted. Now, it is frustrating to reset all my location settings and things but not nearly as frustrating as the storage. I hope this helps everyone!
That did not work for me.
i too deleted all voice memos and the app itself almost 2 months ago. Still shows that it’s consuming alot of space on my device. ☹️ apple don’t care to give a solution??? just in a rush to mark as solved???
Same problem for me. Tried everything including permanently deleting old memos more than 30 days ago. Nothing works...
I tried all of the instructions and it dindn’t help😭. And when i delete the app it shows like this👇🏻Even tho the app is deleted it still shows Delete App.Please help me🤝
I use 15.4.1, many tries of delete app & reinstall it, but always same issue.
We need a solution for this bug , I can’t backup my phone o transfer it to a new one. 22.78 TB , that is impossible, Apple help on this issue.

Thats my problem. I press delete the app and not offload i even did delete it from the home menu and it still shows up the same😭. Idk what can i do anymore
There might be Apple’s files protection system in place. It keeps the deleted memos for 30 days after deletion.
Did urs delete. And if so please tell me what you did so I can also do the same idk why it’s taking so much storage space
