Had the new firmware updated to 1.3.0. I can answer an incoming call from my iPhone and I can put my iPhone down an actually have handsfree usage. The hearing aids, Oticon More 1, go into streaming mode and my voice is sent back through my hearing aid to the iPhone. I can put the iPhone in my shirt pocket and the caller says they hear my voice fine. Nice not to hold the iPhone next to my mouth to have a conversation. It does not work the same way when I answer a call on my Apple Watch but Oticon may get that working too. Fingers still crossed.

Status quo for me after the update. As long as I keep the Wi-Fi off on my tablet (also running 15.6) I’m fine. Apple watch has normal drain and my Resound equalizer sliders don’t move at all on phone. But as soon as I turn on Wi-Fi on my tablet all bets are off & the sliders on the Resound equalizer on my phone go haywire.

Just curious, I would love to know if anyone else has had any luck turning off the wifi on their tablet (if they have one) to see if that also fixes their issue? If it works you should know within a minute of turning off the wifi on your tablet. Please let me know. Thanks.

Nothing has changed for me under 15.6 and turning off WiFi on iPad had no affect. Watch still drains at about 13% per hour and iMessages on iPad displays blank screen more times than not. Sliders still bounce on iPhone 13 Pro. Now have HA's paired to old iPhone 6s with 15.2 without any problem. All this after 15.4 update and continuing.

I have done this before, but I'd try it again with 15.6. I took the phone and hearing aids a couple miles from the house to make sure nothing in our house was causing the slider issues. while parked away from the house, with no WiFi, the sliders jumped. I turned WiFi off on the phone and saw no change and turned it back on. Wanted to make sure it wasn't just the setting causing the problem. Then I turn off Cell data. Now I had no internet - no WiFi, no cell. Sliders were solid. Turned cell back on with no WiFi and they started moving again. Could it be happening only when connected to the internet? Went back home and tried the same experiment. WiFi and cell on - sliders danced. Wifi off - no change. Wifi on, Cell off - sliders still dancing. WiFi and cell off (no internet) - sliders solid. This happened both a the house and away. I'm a technical person by occupation and this makes no sense. Sliders only bouncing when connected to internet. Will be talking to my Apple senior tech on Tuesday and we'll discuss it. Can't leave cell and WiFi off on phone, so will keep HA's attached to 6s. Nothing I've been able to try puts watch batter usage back to were it was prior to 15.4. That's the latest.

Since iOS 15.4 update and the birth of the bouncing sliders, I have unpaired my hearing aids from my iPhone 13 Pro and paired them with my old iPhone 6x that has iOS 15.2 on it. Since then I have had no problem with them staying connected and no bouncing sliders. Today iOS 15.6 has finally been released. I have installed it on my iPad, iPhone 13 Pro and Apple Watch. With crossed fingers I will unpair the HAs from the 6s and pair them with the 13 Pro. Hopefully, no bouncing sliders and a solid connection. I am also hopeful that the update will stop the dramatic drop in power on my watch (20%/hour since 15.4). I'll post back with the result.

I have begun to have this difficulty with the Widex Moment 440 hearing aids. After updating to IOS 15.6.1 the Bass and Treble sliders in both the Accessibility controls and the Widex App and jumping like mad. My only option at this point is to turn off the bluetooth in the hearing aids, forget the device in the Accessibility control, and move forward. However, no ability to answer my phone through the hearing aids as I have done in the past. Have been on support call with apple a number of times and expect another call from them tomorrow. Widex is aware of the problem, and they have no solution either. Appointment with my Audiologist on Monday for update as the hearing aids are new. Something goofy with the IOS that Apple needs to address as it appears that many are having similar issues with hearing aid adjustments and battery drain issues. Will continue to monitor this discussion.

My pleasure… if we keep the ideas & info flowing, maybe we’ll come up with something!

its been 5 days now and no bouncing sliders. I’m grateful the problem seems to have gone away again, but annoyed that I can’t put a finger on what’s causing it to happen in the first place.

I know it’s a PIA, but if you haven’t tried it yet, I think the full backup and restore I did earlier had the most value. Yes the problem eventually started up again (after a month+) but only lasted a day or two this time (I didn’t do another backup/restore this time, just rebooted phone and watch, and forgot and re-paired HAs), just reiterating that nothing else I tried seemed to do anything at all until I did that initial backup and restore.

I do not have any adjustment for bass, mid, or treble under accessibility with my HA, Oticon More 1, but do have those adjustments with my Oticon ON app. I have never made any adjustments and just use the 4 different presets that my audiologist made in the office with her Oticon system. I still have my appointment Tuesday the 12th and will post back with the new firmware.

Thanks. You’ve confirmed something I already thought was true. The issue has nothing to do with ReSounds Smart 3D app. When I deleted the 3D app off all my devices, the issue was still there.

I had that other issue with the battery drain also (phone and watch) but that doesn’t seem to be happening anymore (since backup & restore). If it is, it’s definitely not as noticeable.

What is strange with my situation is that the wildly bouncing slider issue disappeared for over a month and then recently started again! I really thought I had it solved!

Also, I really don’t think the issue has anything to do with the Apple Watch. At least it doesn’t seem to be for me. If you turn up any other possible connections to the watch being the problem, please post.

An interesting point you brought up, which I just confirmed, is that when I disconnect from Wi-Fi the bouncing bass/treble sliders immediately stop! I didn’t leave the house as you did, just turned off Wi-Fi on my phone.

I’ll have to see how this develops because I’m pretty sure I have also experienced the bouncing slider issue when I was out of the house and disconnected from Wi-Fi in the past.

Something this suggests, which I hadn’t thought of prior and will look into, is if there might be a firmware update for my router.

Thanks for your input. Keep the info flowing!
