Had the new firmware updated to 1.3.0. I can answer an incoming call from my iPhone and I can put my iPhone down an actually have handsfree usage. The hearing aids, Oticon More 1, go into streaming mode and my voice is sent back through my hearing aid to the iPhone. I can put the iPhone in my shirt pocket and the caller says they hear my voice fine. Nice not to hold the iPhone next to my mouth to have a conversation. It does not work the same way when I answer a call on my Apple Watch but Oticon may get that working too. Fingers still crossed.

I am waiting a few day to install iOS 16. If anyone has installed iOS 16 and tested the random slider issue, it would be most appreciated and helpful to know the results. I also noted that there are some posts related to excessive Apple watch battery drain. That has also been one of my problems and an update on that issue would also be helpful.

I was surprised to see that iOS 15.7 was released today. if anyone opted to install it while waiting a while to install 16, any update on its affect would be good to know. Thank you very much.

I have also installed iOS16 on my iPhone and 9.0 on my Apple watch. I am happy to report that the slider issue has been fixed. I have the Resound app in the watch doc where I can easily access the app and change the HA program and/or adjust volume as before this problem began. Thank you to everyone for posting with status and updates during this very frustrating event. This has been a very helpful site. Hopefully, this now behind us.

Yes, from my personal experience and what I got from that article, it seems like the update has to “work its way through” your phone. I guess the process can take a bit longer for some than others (things like number of apps, storage capacity, phone model/chip processor speed, probably effect this) and the updating and recalibrating could impact things other than just the battery (like my bass and treble issue and maybe your low notification volume).

I took the leap and updated to 15.4.1 (I’m a glutton for punishment) and all seems well so far. 🤞

Good luck with your firmware update. I’ll be sure to post here if anything else changes.
