Had the new firmware updated to 1.3.0. I can answer an incoming call from my iPhone and I can put my iPhone down an actually have handsfree usage. The hearing aids, Oticon More 1, go into streaming mode and my voice is sent back through my hearing aid to the iPhone. I can put the iPhone in my shirt pocket and the caller says they hear my voice fine. Nice not to hold the iPhone next to my mouth to have a conversation. It does not work the same way when I answer a call on my Apple Watch but Oticon may get that working too. Fingers still crossed.

Update on my situation:

the problem hasn’t come up for the last 3 days. Wanted to wait before I posted anything. I don’t know what caused it to randomly start up again in the first place. And I don’t know what caused it to go away again.

All I did I was rebooted phone, Smart 3D app and the HAs a couple of times. This is what happened last time too. It just stops as suddenly as it starts.

Just out of curiosity CompGuyWill, have you tried turning off the Wi-Fi on your tablet? I have iPhone 12, Apple Watch 6, a gen 6 tablet all with latest iOSs. And a older tablet that they stopped updating the iOS on. When I turn off the wifi on my newer tablet with the latest iOS (didn’t update yet today) I have no problems with any of my devices. If I turn on the wifi on older tablet, no problems either. But as soon as I turn on wifi on the newer tablet sliders go haywire on my phone. I haven’t left on long enough to see if it’s also effecting my watch’s battery drain. Something to consider if todays update doesn’t help you.

They’re Resound Preza’s from Costco (similar to the Linx Quattro 9’s) using Smart 3D (though problem happens even without the 3D app installed) I’ve discussed with Resound, the Apple accessibility folks, and then at Resound & Apples suggestion, took them into Costco where they hooked them up to their computer to check any problems. They all tried the various trouble shooting techniques. Reboot phone, delete and reinstall Smart 3D app, forget and re-pair the HAs, reset network settings. No one has been able to find anything wrong. My problem started the day after I downloaded the iOS 15.4 update on my iPhone 12. Never had any problems before this update.

There seems to be no doubt that iOS 15.4 has caused serious issues with all the hearing aids using Apples Accessibility features. The frustration of finding a fix has been endless. You have already done everything I would have suggested including calling Apple Support to let them know there is a problem with iOS 15.4. Fingers crossed a solution is coming soon.

Thanks. I was just coming to tell you about the update!

Funny thing though, I haven’t installed the update yet (and now wondering if I will haha) but as of yesterday afternoon, I stopped having the issue with the bass and treble sliders bouncing all around, and the battery drain is significantly better! It’s like it fixed itself. I came across this article ( https://bgr.com/tech/ios-15-4-battery-drain-fix-apple-finally-responds-to-complaints/ )that mentions the new iOS “might be working overtime to index content and recalibrate the battery. As a result, the iPhones should fix themselves a few days after you install the iOS 15.4 update.” In my case, a few days was almost 2 weeks…

I did not experience the battery drain issue with my iPhone 13 Pro Max, but I really appreciate the link to the article. I'll let my iPhone battery drain down to a lower state. I usually put it on my Apple Mag charger when at my desk or when watching TV in the evening. Maybe this update needs some time to actually work. Remember to turn off auto update if you want to be in control of when the iOS 15.4.1 gets installed. Thanks for your input. The more shared experiences the better. There is a new firmware update for my Oticon More 1 hearing aids but my appointment is not until April 12th.

My bouncing bass & treble seems to be happening again but right now it only seems to be happening with the TV streamer. I’m pretty disappointed to say the least. Don’t know if I ever mentioned this before but my phone HA app supports 3 settings in the HA app bass/mid/treble. But only bass & treble are affected. Also my HAs are MFi so they’re paired under settings > accessibility > hearing devices and in here there are only settings for bass and treble. Hmmmm…

I am experiencing the same problem. IPhone 13 pro max, running ios 15.5. A couple days after update my Resound 3D app starting acting up. Re pairing fixes for a few minutes, then the sound enhancer equalizer starts making random adjustments, making the hearing aids almost unusable without unpairing or turning off Bluetooth. Hearing impaired community depends on this app and needs Apple to find a fix asap.

It seems to have stopped again. Try the procedure I mentioned earlier in my May 19th post. That worked for over a month before I started having issues again. I used the same fix this time minus backing up and restoring and haven’t had problems for the last 2 days. Knock wood. It’s very frustrating that it just seems to start for no apparent reason at all. Keep us posted on your progress. Good luck.

Well forget most of what I said in the previous post. I tried updating the firmware on my router but apparently that is done automatically by your ISP now (at least on my router) and I checked and I do have the most current version. Then I thought rebooting the router might help. It did for about a half hour. And now, even with Wi-Fi off, I’m having the issue with wildly bouncing sliders for bass/treble again. Back to square 1…

Thanks a lot for that info CompGuyWill. I was on the phone with Apple & ReSound within a week of downloading 15.4. Both were telling me there were no known issues, and after hours of troubleshooting, they both were pointing the finger at each other and telling me it’s the other guy.

I don’t know if you read my earlier posts but the problem went away for over a month for me, and just started up again. I really wish I knew what I did to make that happen and what caused it to come back.

Very happy to hear they’ve finally acknowledged there is a problem! It’s good to know you’re not going crazy!!

Thank you, Bushness. I tried pairing my hearing aids again this morning after reading your post and still can't get the bouncing sliders to stop no matter what I try. In addition, my Apple Watch's battery level continues to drop at a high rate. I'm still waiting for 15.6 and hoping that it will fix these problems. Please continue to keep us posted and I'll do the same if anything changes. Thanks again for the update.

Troubleshooting this is like playing whac-a-mole… you think you’ve eliminated something and it just pops up again later.

Right now I don’t seem to be having any Bluetooth related issues at all - HAs, watch, phone, streamer, nothing. Wi-Fi issues seem to come and go. I’m pretty confident the 3D app isn’t part of the problem but other than that, anything is possible. I’m leaning toward it likely being a combination of different things causing it.

One interesting thing you mentioned and I also experience is that the wildly bouncing sliders seem to “settle down” after awhile. And in my case it seems to stop altogether for days, sometimes weeks, and then just start up again for no apparent reason whatsoever.

Right now I’m connected to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth- watch & phone, and haven’t had any issues since yesterday afternoon.
