My phone doesn’t ring, notifications for texts snd emails don’t ring even though all of that is on in my settingd

I finally figured this out for my iPhone13 pro. There is a small HARDWARE switch right above the volume buttons. Switch it to the front and the ringer works, switch it towards the back and it turns the ringer off. I just bought the phone and this was driving me nuts. My salesperson didn't mention it. I suppose it is in the docs somewhere but I couldn't easily find it. What a freakin' pain in the butt that was.

I found my problem. My carrier is AT&T. D I had downloaded AT&T’s app Call Protect. It was blocking every number not from an AT&T number. I deleted the app but AT &T had to do something on their end to delete it and now all the calls come through

You should mention that on an iPhone13 pro this is a tiny HARDWARE switch right above the volume controls. I had no idea it was there.

Make sure you don’t have Call Protect or another spam removing app. Once I took them all off everything was fixed. By the way some apps you can remove but you have to call the carrier because they have to do something on their end. I now get spam but at least I’m getting my calls

I had that problem and found out I had downloaded some spam prevention apps who were blocking everything.

I have an Apple 12 PRO and do not get rings either but here is what i found. I find that if you are expecting a call from someone put them on your favorites list. All the people on my favorites list ring through and my favorites list is growing by the minute.

Im having to shut down my iPhone 12 mini several times a day to get it to "reset" so text, iMessage and phone rings.

this is crazy but glad others have same problem.

Come on Apple......there has to be a fix!

"Call Protect" was the villain in our case as well. "A couple of weird things on the account" was the official diagnosis.

this does not help!!!!, the button on the side is already on, its usually on just some calls and text, the phone or text messages do not ring or any notice that was set up. Usually I am on the kindle app or reading news or on your news app. What is wrong?????

I’m having the same issues all settings are correct phone doesn’t ring many very important calls missed. Apple iPhone needs to fix this before something deadly happens. Some life or death call could be missed and apple.com is not taking care or helping with a solution

I just bought three IPhone 13’s in December for my family. No issues on any of them the first couple of months. Now, we all are having issues. I have missed critical calls and am a mother which a teenage daughter whose phone is also not ringing. Apple has a serious issue here.

Phone not ringing. Settings are on. Reset works for awhile

No help. Side button obviously on.

only difference with my situation is I switched SIM cards on return home 6 days ago.

OS up to date. Report today from family members with similar experiences.

Apple needs a close look at this!

I am also having the same problem I barely ever hear my phone ring or get texts anymore even though I have phone calls and I do have texts all switches on also the side switch is on I’ve been trying to figure this out for quite a long time
