Not receiving sound to incoming emails.

I get no sound to incoming emails. I have an Apple replacement 13 promax bc my original 13 promax had the same problem. I have talked to iCare practically every day for 2 months encompassing hours and hours and hours. I have gone thru the same scenario with approx 14 different iCare reps and senior reps numerous times. I reset my phone, deleted and reinstalled the mail app, talked to my server people and talked to Verizon. All with no success. One Apple senior rep (Alex) said he does not know what is wrong. Another senior rep set me up an iCloud email account. The sound WORKS on this email. Does Apple plan to release an IOS 15 update to fix this problem? What is your suggestion on how to get sound on incoming emails. ( I selected the “other” email account on Apple’s set up page when I got my iPhone. ) I am 7 hours away from the nearest Apple store. I bought my iPhone 1/28/22 (I am within the 90 day insurance) and have iCare+ insurance and yet not one Apple iCare rep has offered a solution or an additional replacement. Thank you.

Two things here:

A. Showing this to Apple Firsthand:

I would really love to hear directly from an Apple tech engineer who has examined my dilemma first hand.

Screensharing with the Apple Rep:

For an Apple Rep to easily see this first hand, from your perspective, screenshare the iSight camera of your iPhone and that of your Mac. Ask a friend, or family member if you may use their phone, if you do not have one handy.

B. Bug Fixes in Updates:

I would also like an answer to my question of: does Apple expect to address this problem with a new release of IOS.

Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: They’d know to address the problem only if it has been reported. Apple barely reads these sites as it is on their own time. So, report it to Apple. Let them know that this is getting in your way.  Apple wont get back to you directly, but the more they hear of this, the more they will know what bugs exist, and and what fixes to include in updates to come.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: on when you can me across this issue, and how you have troubleshot it this far. Include the URL of this post, as well..
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

Contact Apple Support:

These are user-to-user forums. We are not Apple tech engineers. No one here has access to your account information or devices, and that is a good thing BTW. So, by talking to Apple, they will see this from their side, and will run you through the fix. Here is the information for contacting Apple Support:

Apple Phone Support:

  • Contact Us - Choose Locations
  • Proceed from there as Necessary
  • Why the Wait: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due do lots of calls. With the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through :)

ALL the points you hit upon in ur reply have been investigated and as I said in my narrative, no one at Apple but no one has a solution to my particular issue. As I also said, the incoming email sound is heard on my iCloud.com email so non working speakers is not the solution. Notifications for email have been checked and rechecked with dozens of iCare tech staffs.

I would really love to hear directly from an Apple tech engineer who has examined my dilemma first hand. Indeed, I would also like an answer to my question of: does Apple expect to address this problem with a new release of IOS.

I have covered each step in ur reply. Sent feedback to Apple, reported it to at least 15+ iCare staff, did about 15+ screen shares, etc., and have reached one conclusion: Apple products are not without faults. I believe they are way overrated and way over sold for what you pay for. Thousands of $$$ for ??????

Thank you for ur responses. I will plug ahead to find “the fix”.
