My Memoji tracks my face on my iPad Air 4 !
I have the ultimate proof that Face ID is absolutely not necessary to make Animojis work. With the recent release of iOS 15.4 and iPadOS 15.4 (which includes so many new bugs by the way !), my iPad Air now tracks my face when I’m on the Memoji pop-up view ! This iPad doesn’t have Face ID and my face expressions are just as precisely represented as on my iPhone 13 Pro Max. To show you, here’s a screen record of it.
Please Apple, this was certainly not intentional (and I think the mistake comes from the fact that the iPad Air features the same front camera as the Pro) but don’t remove it 🙏
