O just updated my OS to Mojave on my MacBook. Now I show 2 Macintosh HD's. When I tried to delete the second drive it's telling me to enter a password for an account I no longer have. The message says on start up " The disk "Macintosh HD" can't be unlocked. How do I resolve this problem? Thank you.
Do you have a Time Machine backup to Restore to/from?
It sounds like we need to erase it to one Drive, but open Terminal & report waht this says using copy & paste here...
diskutil list
In Disk Utility's View Menu, did you choose Show all Devices & choose the top left one to erase?
Is it a Fusion drive?
No. I dont have Time Machine. There was not enough space on the HD. Thats why I erased and reinstalled OS.
