Unable to connect to 5Ghz Wi-Fi Network

Hello Everyone,


Earlier I was able to connect to 5Ghz Wi-Fi network easily, however after the software upgrade I am unable to connect - its says unable to connect. Have tried to Reset Network Settings, Reset IPhone - Still it doesn’t want to connect. Is it a hardware failure ? Or how could I connect to 5Ghz Wi-Fi Network ?


Model - IPhone 11 IOS 15.4

Two things that you can try and in the following order:

  1. Reboot your Wi-Fi Router with the 5GHz service. Simply turn it OFF for 40 seconds and turn it back ON. Try connecting to the 5GHz Wi-Fi Network after it has been booted up for at least 5 minutes. If this does not work then:
  2. Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:
  • Press and quickly release Volume UP button
  • Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
  • Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).
