Blank display problem just after 1 year warranty ended

Bought a Macbook air with m1 chip just last year and I'm seeing blank display with no video. The laptop is working, I can hear the start-up sound after restarting the laptop but the display is blank. So I took it to authorized service center and they are suggesting me to replace the display which is costly.

My warranty just ended one month ago, there is no damage to the screen physically. And till now, no reason has been provided to me as to why display is needed to be replaced if not damaged physically and what could have caused this issue? Should it not be manufacturing defect?

Why charging premium if it is not reliable? Bought it thinking that I will get my ROI in terms of performance and reliability. Utterly disappointed with the product!
