Renaming folder takes a long time

I have recently updated to Monterey 12.3 on my iMac 27" Retina 5k Intel. After the update, renaming folders across the network (PC Server) takes forever. Never had this problem before. Matter of fact, the other employee using another iMac 27" Retina 5k Intel does not have issues because they are still running High Sierra 10.13.6. Is there a fix for this, or can we expect it to be remedied in a future update? TIA

Is your PC server still serving SMB1 protocol filesystems, and if so, can it be set to SMB2/SMB3 which is what Monterey expects by default. High Sierra didn't have that SMB1/2/3 limitation. Monterey can be modified to accept SMB1 connections if necessary.
