I have received my shiny new Studio Display, updated my OS to latest and greatest, however, the mic, speakers and camera are not available to be selected anywhere on my machine. I have unplugged all other external monitors and still do not see any listed for use by my 16 MacBook pro.
Overall display is fine. Just cant seem to use anything else.
Turns out a simple restart of the display by unplugging and plugging back in reset everything and it has been working ever since. HTH

Exact same issue. At first, the studio display speakers registered in the volume control me I but no audio. Now that option doesn’t even register.
Didn’t realise Monterey was required 😅. Did a System Update and now all is well.
