Chrome on Macbook keeps deleting my words

This has happened on my 2015 Macbook and has been happening since I switched to this 2019 Macbook. Every time I type something in Chrome, specifically in Google Docs/Slides/Sheet/Keep/etc (anything Google), words would be disappearing after I press space. If I type, then do one click on the trackpad, it will let me keep going, but if not, it just keeps deleting my word.

Also, when I use Chrome, it does not allow me to type with my VNI keyboard. This just happened a few months ago and has never happened before. Whenever I have this keyboard mode on, it types out random words (for example, I was trying to type "call" but the keyboard typed out "cll", and when I tried to delete, it kept tying out "cll" multiple times instead of deleting the previous text).

These two problems have been very frustrating since I do a lot of my stuff on Chrome. Is there a way to fix this?

Reinstall Chrome:

Perhaps this is a corrupt install? Delete Chrome, and then re-download it. Get it rom the App Store:

Deleting Chrome: To delete Chrome, drag its icon into the trash form the App window.
Downloading Chrome: Google Chrome on the App Store - Apple Support
