Range Extender for AppleTV
I need to connect a "range extender" for my AppleTV which is about 6o ft away from the router.
Can I use an "old" Apple Tower and make it an extender? And then connect the AppleTV via ethernet cable to the Apple Tower?

Your network needs to be upgraded. An extender is NOT the answer. I strongly recommend that you research MESH routers and install a MESH network. This is the correct solution and will solve the current problem and future problems.
Here is a link to one of many articles that will help educate you a bit. What is a Mesh Network and How Does it Work? (signalboosters.com)
These days you can find Mesh Networks just about everywhere. Best Buy, Costco, Amazon, etc.... Personally I happen to use a Google Mesh network however all work similarly and are simple to setup and use.
From the Netgear router. The router feeds WiFi thoughout the house up to a certain point. Then the signal drops substantially. By adding an extender to the router, and from the extender via ethernet cable to the AppleTV.
Apple Tower
Do you mean a desktop Mac, or AirPort Extreme/AirPort Time Capsule?
Thank you. Appreciate your solution. Will look into it.
Your welcome. It will be an investment but it is exactly what you need.
