Maps not showing traffic when route is created

If Maps isn't working on your Apple device

"If you can't find your current location on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touchGo to Settings > Privacy > Location Services and make sure that Location Services is on and that Maps is set to While Using the App or Widgets.Make sure that you set the date, time, and time zone correctly on your device. Go to Settings > General > Date & Time. If possible, use Set Automatically.Make sure that cellular data or Wi-Fi is turned on, and that you have an active connection.Close the Maps app, then open it again. Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.Try a different location or switch to a different Wi-Fi network. Location Services uses GPS, Bluetooth, crowd-sourced Wi-Fi hotspots, and cellular towers to determine your location. My phone is also not displaying traffic info when using directions. It stopped suddenly same time as the person posting the original message.

I have tried all methods recommended by the tech above and it still does not work.

Very frustrating because I don’t like google maps but will

have to move there. Since I live in NYC and traffic patterns are imperative when driving here.

The problem exists since iOS 15, seems like Apple did it on purpose.

For me it‘s a big No-Go not being able to see the traffic situation around.

So with that update Apple kind of forced me into using Google Maps for driving.

I have iPhone 11 and encountered the same exact issue after installing the newest update. I have tried everything that’s mentioned above and none of them worked.

Isn’t it a glitch in the newest update? Please fix it ASAP. Thank you.

I have done all of this and nothing changed. I am still not receiving any traffic "heat map" while in turn-by-turn directions. I can see them fine until I start the turn-by-turn directions. I even reset the system in my car just in case that was the issue - no avail. Would you please research and find a solution beyond the typical FAQ pat answers? Thanks!

Same issue here as well. Traffic doesn’t show up on Apple Maps or Waze from my iPhone. My iPad shows traffic just fine. Both devices are running the same update. My iPhone has location services turned on, etc.

I also have this exact same issue. Very frustrating for someone who has a long commute. Please fix ASAP.

ALSO FYI it is not a location service issue, it knows where I am and directions function normally except for displaying the traffic. And as the original poster mentioned the traffic does display if you are not en route, then disappears once you pick a destination.

I have the 13 pro max and I’m having the same issue. I have wasted so much time unnecessarily in traffic the past several days because maps is showing a clear route. Right now I’ve been sitting for 47 minutes due to an accident ahead (the 3rd one this morning not on the map). I could’ve rerouted before but didn’t because the map showed a clear route.

Will have to do a search to see how to undo an update I guess or like everyone else says use another app. Don’t like waze at it is never ever accurate , ever. And google , well it’s google and If I wanted to use google maps I’d have kept my android phone

Still nothing. I really wanted to switch to Apple Maps but it’s back to google maps for me. They have tried All remedies and fixes. Google works great and has added even more features. Now Apple Maps is just a background backup and nothing more.

Same issue here, just suddenly stopped showing me the traffic colors and no option to toggle it on. iPhone X running iOS 15.3.1 so not updated yet and still having the issue.
