somehow my apple id is showing my husband's profile picture like he is connected to my account somehow. every time I choose to update my profile it falls right back to him again. We don't have a family sharing account and we don't share any other profiles.
Is he somehow connected to 2 apple id accounts? His own and mine? Getting frustrated.

My best guess then is that some of the information in your contact card and his may be shared. Siris suggestions sometimes want to add a shared email or a landline to a contact. your phone then tries to combine the two. It's happened to me over the years. I just went in to the contact cards and removed the extraneous data.
At any point did you use one Apple ID or log into the other's device (or one that was initially set up for the other person) without wiping it completely first?
I have used his old iPhone before, but we did "wipe" it clean before I took it over. The funny thing is it's not constant it happens now and then??!!
