Custom Alert Sounds in Monterey

I m trying to add a custom alert sound. I know I can't add it to System/Library/Sounds and I need to add it to ~Library/Sounds. I have done this and it is an aiff file but still it does not appear in the list of sounds. Any ideas why not?

Home/library/Audio//MIDI Patch Names/Alert
