Why can’t I use my carrier data to back up my pictures to the iCloud?

If you have a 5G device, a 5G connection, and if your carrier supports it, you may be able to do so -> Use 5G with your iPhone - Apple Support

Otherwise, backups to iCloud over cellular data connections is not supported and only WiFi will work.

Pictures didn’t back up i lost my phone and when I got a new phone my pictures did not transfer over once I used I cloud back up. Help.

I bought more space on iCloud for my pictures, but they won't transfer to iCloud. i bought more space on Icloud for my pictures, but they wont transfer to the cloud. I took my phone to U.S.Cellular because that's who we go through and they said all the settings are correct and they don't know why its not transferring either. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

You can do so with an iphone 13 via 5G if your phone carrier supports it, otherwise wifi is a requirement to backup to icloud.
