M1 MacBook Pro Camera

I was wondering will Apple will ever release a fix to correct the horribly blotchy and overly processed webcam quality? With the first M1 MacBook pros the quality was horrible and like a lot of other people who upgraded to the new line of MacBooks in 2021 with the 1080p camera upgrade only to have, oddly enough, the same exact experience, it begs the question if it’s just a very poor quality camera or a software issue. I mean it’s bad enough that I answer FaceTime calls on my phone while using my Mac because it’s embarrassing.

No one here can speculate on bug fixes coming down the pike..

You could wait for the release of macOS 12.4 point update...

The current stable release of Monterey including bug fixes, is macOS 12.3.1

Thanks. however this is the model that has the fancy new 1080P camera however in use there’s not any different from what it was before. Honestly I’m thinking that, now I’ve owned two m1 macs, with all of the updates including moving to a completely new OS version and nothing changing, it’s probably just a crappy component. They need to have used a better camera. They might as well just not have added one. I connected an old MS camera and it looks way better. That’s all.
