Can't get my CD USB Super Drive to work on a 14 MacBook Pro. Suggestions?

+1 on no docs or hubs.

If you cannot get it working, then I recommend you contact Apple because this is becoming a very common complaint here.

It needs to be attached directly to your Mac; no hub, no dock.

If you need a USB-A to USB-C adapter, Apple sells a good one.
