MacBook Air - where to save Adobe files for editing?

Where should I save Adobe files, so I can edit them without the operating system telling me I can't save them because of XYZ reasons?

remove "save as adobe pdf" option when clicking open with for pdf files hi, i have removed all adobe applications from my mac and all files in Library as well. but when i click open with for pdf files, it will show "save as adobe pdf" as an option, so is there any way to remove the option from my mac? my OS is Monterey 12.6 if that matters. i have included an image to show what i meant. please help me because this bothers me a lot.

How do I stop all my apple documents converting to pdf? I have an Apple Macbook. I must have downloaded the free version of adobe at some point. Now, all my pages documents are converted to pdfs. How do I stop this from happening? Thank you

The default for documents is the Documents folder. However, by personal choice, you can save it to any folder on any disk you have write access to.

Whatever suits your need and you can remember.
