MacBook Pro 2019 cannot upgrade to Monterey

When you buy one of the standard models with 120GB storage, you are left with 16-18GB of actual usable storage since the OS takes up a whopping 103GB of system storage.

After downloading Monterey, which takes up just over 15GB, actually installing it requires another 30GB of storage. That is physically impossible on this Mac, even when bought new.

Anyone had similar issues?

What is Apple doing about this?
