How to import CSV

I have a CSV file, how do I import or convert it to a chart?

To import the CSV file, launch Numbers, File > Open and navigate to it. Dragging and dropping a CSV file from the Finder into Numbers also usually works well.


A popup will appear where you can make adjustments to the delimiter, etc., if needed.


Once you have the data in a Numbers table, then you can select the cells and Insert > Chart and pick the type you want.


Charts usually take experimentation to get them to look the way you want.


If you haven't done so already, be sure to have a look at the 'Charting Basics' template at File > New in your menu.
