Troubleshooting iCloud Mail:

If it is iCloud mail that is giving you issues, then there may be an issue connecting the Apple's servers. So, you might want to call Apple, seeing if they can run you through the fix. You may even want to log out of iCloud on your iPhone, and then log back in. Seems to me to be a syncing issue. So, do you get this issue on you other devices? Do you get this issue in iCloud.com/mail?

• Proceed from there as necessary
• Why the Wait?: Phone calls are taking a bit to go through at the moment, due to lots of calls. And that makes sense because with the Coronavirus Pandemic, many are at home at the moment, with much time on their hands to contact Apple. So, just stay on the line, and you will get through, sure enough :)

It may be an issue with the update. I have not had this issue. So, refer to the following...

A. Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: Report this to Apple. Having just recently updated your iOS, and have didn't see this issue before on your iPhone, then I would assume the update was not completely installed. Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback Applereceives on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed in upcoming updates.

1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: on when you came across this issue, and how you have troubleshot it thus far. Include the URL to this post: Adding a period after a sentence - Apple Community
4. Proceed from there as necessary

B. Restore from a Backup:

Did you create a backup, prior to installing this update? If so, restore your iPhone from it. If not, then take this as a learning experience knowing to always create a back up your iPhone. That way you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go working with the install.
