I've no Apple TV though. Have no regular one either! (Twice blessed?)

Most major hotel chains do not allow you to directly connect streaming devices to their network as it takes up a LOT of their bandwidth. The solution is buy a travel router (check Amazon) and set it up at each hotel. You then have your own personal network and can stream.
