Amazon prime video app zoom in not working on apple tv 4k

Till a month ago on Apple tv 4k prime video app, if I want to adjust the zoom level, double-tap (not click) on the trackpad on the Siri Remote would zoom in and zoom out. This feature should not be confused with the Apple TV’s accessibility option called “Zoom.”

After recent updates to the prime video app, the feature is not working anymore. I dont like the black bars at top and bottom especially for movie content that is not 16:9 aspect ratio. I know zoom in would trim some screen space but I am fine as that is very minimal.

Is there any other way to get this worked back like before?
