Bluetooth Apple Pencil

My Bluetooth isn’t connecting with my Apple Pencil but the Apple Pencil is connecting with the iPad which I can’t write or draw because the Bluetooth isn’t connecting it’s a 5th generation iPad and a 1 generation Apple Pencil.

A fifth generation iPad does not function with any Apple Pencil!
