Left airpod pro stopped working

My AirPods Pro stopped showing up on the screen consistently after last update (15.4.1).

then they started charging unevenly, dying within 1 hour, and NOW, my left airpod won’t play any sound.

I already followed Apple suggestions/directions to reset AirPods to no avail. These AirPods are a replacement through apple care due to my other ones cutting out and crackling. Does apple care send new ones or refurbished replacements? Also, does having an iPhone 13 pro max 5G that runs significantly slower than my old 11 pro max lte play any role in AirPods problems? I almost wish I would never have “upgraded” bc it seems to be a significant downgrade regarding speed and efficiency.

Any help would be extremely appreciated bc I do not have time for this issue in an accelerated nursing program where I use my AirPods ALL the time to study. Thanks.

If you've followed all steps, including resetting with no change, we'd recommend contacting Apple directly for additional assistance. It may be necessary to investigate available service options: AirPods Replacement, Service, and Repair
