Watch os 8.5.1 suddenly Battery draining

Battery was always at least 50% at midnight after full days use - last three days it has run down by teatime 6pm

  • what is going wrong. Not having the correct time In the evening when out and no charger at hand is a disaster. Watch series 3. When this happened 6 months ago I had to completely reset up the Watch three times until I removed the remote to phone function but that isn’t connected now so can’t remove that.

FWIW, in some cases, unpairing the watch, completely erasing it, then pairing and restoring the backup will resolve the battery draining issue after an update. (Simply unpairing and pairing again may not work.)

Also, some people have found that simply waiting a few days after an update resolves the battery draining problem.
