Blocked sender still appears in inbox or junk

Blocked senders on MacOs mail and ios mail keep going to the junk mailbox instead of the rubbish/trash mailbox. Why?

Read carefully please:

1 - the sender is recognised as a blocked sender. Hence changing sender email addresses is not the issue.

2- My junk mail setting on MacOS uses 'perform custom actions' and is set so that ALL junk mail goes to rubbish in stead of junk. Yet all junk keeps going to junk instead.

3- Trust junk mail headers is ON.

4- There is an additional rule set up, that says blocked sender should go to rubbish, not junk. Doesn't work.

5- rules are applied after junk mail filtering but don't seem to work.

6- receiving addresses are iCloud but also gmail and exchange.

What can I still change to send junk mail straight to trash? Thanks!

No bots please.

Yup same here but personally do not find it an annoyance. From time to time there is something move to Trash which should not have been and if did not have to second espresso ( humour here ) Delete in All Account and it is gone.

Perhaps so Apple Mail Rules needs to be made.

That I do not use because I could never get them to work a I wanted
