iPhone 11 Pro Max .5 and 2x cameras don't work after last update.

Has anyone had success getting their iPhone camera lenses to work properly – – is this intentional software programming so that we have to buy a new iPhone? What's going on here. I can switch to the lenses in pano mode and time-lapse, so I know the lenses are working. But the option to use these other lenses has disappeared from all other camera modes.
