Why can't I unsubscribe from Apple News?

I have tried to unsubscribe from Apple News emails on three different browser platforms and run into two issues that prevent me from successfully unsubscribing.

I cannot choose 'update' (button is greyed out) unless I deselect 'Announcements'. So to even attempt to unsubscribe I must actively choose to still receive 'Announcements' emails. (pic attached).

2. After deselecting 'Announcements' which then allows me to click on the 'update' button, I then click on 'update' and I receive an error message. (pic Attached).

I have been trying for several weeks after restarting, trying different browsers, trying different WiFi systems but it's these same two issues every time. Any solution would be greatly appreciated.
