Is downgrading an iCloud plan immediate?
My contract just renewed. If I downgrade to the free 5GB will all the files be available until the renewal date?

Great question! While the first step listed in this link would be to save what will exceed the 5GB once downgraded, a bit further down it shows the change will take effect once the current billing cycle finishes: Downgrade or cancel your iCloud+ plan
