Install of Monterey

Hi, I'm trying to install the latest Monterey update on to my iMac and every time it stalls and says that I need to connect to the internet, which I am via Wifi. Do I need to switch something on or off in Settings?

Software update seems to download, chugs through the "preparing" for 25-35 minutes, then fails to install. Updating to Monterey 12.6 doesn't work I've tried to install the 12.6 update 5 times on my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, Late 2015 with an i5 3.3 GHz 2TB drive with .9 TB available) by clicking "update now", including from safe mode, however none of the installs have worked. The process seems to follow the usual process, but when it's all done, I'm still on 12.5.1 and I get the message that Monterey 12.6 is available and will be installed tonight. The update doesn't install overnight either. Otherwise, the iMac works fine. How do I get the update to install?

how to download Monterey if not available on site Trying to upgrade my iMac (2017) currently running Carolina 10.15.7 to Monterey but can't seem to get the download anywhere including from settings for software updates, the App Store, and Apple Support Downloads resource site as well. Am I able to upgrade? (which I think I can), and if so, where can I get the download? If I am having these kinds of problems without even running an install I am worried. LOL

Please try to install while you are in Safe Mode.
